For when you need to stare at pretty things until the world feels okay again

Hi, I’m Kaylee - the artist behind Cozy Dreams Art.

I create dreamy, textured paintings that offer a gentle escape inward - soft spaces where stillness, memory, and imagination meet.

My work blends organic materials, intuitive symbolism, and layered color to build emotional portals:

places where you can feel something

reflect in liminality

or simply breathe.

I paint for the part of you that craves quiet wonder. For the inner world we often forget to visit in this often overstimulating world

Every piece is meant to feel like a small ritual - cozy, surreal, and safe.

A whisper that says: “you can pause here.”

My Process

Each painting begins with a feeling - meditative, intuitive, and precise

I work from this intuition, letting color, shape, and texture emerge in layers. I often use mixed media: acrylics, handmade textures, raw fabrics, and found materials, allowing my process to feel both raw and sacred.

I’m drawn to softness, muted tones, lunar symbols, and quiet contrast. These choices aren’t just aesthetic - they’re emotional tools:

creating a space where you

can slow down and

just be.

My studio space in slow, reflective, and sensory. I often light a candle or play ambient music while I work, I believe the ambiance I curate carries into the painting. Some pieces are finished in hours. Others take weeks - built layer by layer like a memory.

Where it all Began:

I’ve always been drawn to softness - to moonlight, journaling, hand lettering to the quiet moments in-between things. But for a long time, I didn’t believe others valued that kind of tenderness. Like many artists, I spent years putting off my creativity, letting structure, safety, and productivity rule my world.

Art, specifically painting pulled at me in those in-between moments - first as a whisper, then as a need. I would see a landscape painting in a waiting room and notice I was staring at it for too long. I would look up to the sky and question if the clouds were real or if someone painted them. Through these moments I realized I didn’t want to just make pretty things:

I wanted to create a sanctuary

A place where people could feel less alone in their inner world

a place to sit and stare a little too long; to ponder life’s questions

Cozy Dreams was born from that desire: to hold space for slow feeling, for emotional resonance, and for dreamlike beauty that feels just real enough that maybe, just maybe you could touch it - like moonlight across still water.

If my work speaks to you, I’d love to hear what it brings up for you and deliver you a dream worth dreaming.

Love,
